Effective 4 October 2026
Panegrip is built so that your work stays on your devices. We do not run accounts, we do not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not sell or share data.
What stays on your devices
- Your code, prompts, conversations and terminals live on your computer. The app shows them by talking to the Panegrip relay you install there.
- Pairing keys are created on your iPhone and your computer and stored there (the iPhone keeps its key in the Keychain).
- Voice notes are transcribed on your iPhone by default and deleted right after. If you choose transcription on your computer, the recording goes only to your computer and is deleted after transcription.
What passes through our servers
- relay.panegrip.dev forwards traffic between your iPhone and your computer when they cannot connect directly. Everything it forwards is end-to-end encrypted; it cannot read it. To work, it sees the network addresses and public device keys of both sides and how much data passes. These are kept in memory and in short-lived server logs (at most 14 days) for abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
- Notifications. When you enable them, your computer sends notifications to Apple’s push service through our push service. The notification content is encrypted on your computer for your iPhone only; our service sees the Apple device token and the size of the message, not its text.
What Apple and your agents see
Apple delivers the app and push notifications under its own policies. The AI agents you run (Claude Code, Codex and others) talk to their providers under those providers’ terms; Panegrip does not change what they send.
Children
Panegrip is a developer tool and is not directed at children.
